Sad news in yesterday's entertainment news. The Grand Exalted High Priest of the Bitchin' Guitar Solo broke down and went back into rehab. Nice picture there, Ed. Now, I've been backstage at a Van Halen show and will confirm that everything is better backstage at their shows -- the booze, the women, the (fill in the blank) -- but come on Ed. Grow up and get your act together. You have singlehandedly made a mockery of one of the best bands in history. Get sober and come out kicking ass again.
Of course, this completely screws up my early 80s concert series. The Police in June at the Oakland Coliseum, Genesis in August at the Shark Tank in San Jose, and the reunited mighty Van Halen fronted by David Lee Roth -- oh wait, on hold.
