Best Supporting Actor

I have to say, I possess a slightly twisted view of television and movie casting, preferring to look beyond the leads and focus instead on the characters that make them shine. You know, the way Larry made Jack look great in "Three's Company". A few days ago I was watching the original 1966 full-length "Batman" movie with Burgess Meredith as the Penguin, Frank Gorshin at the Riddler, the delicious Miss America 1955 Lee Meriwether as Catwoman and the Ocean's 11 vet Cesar Romero as The Joker. Wow, what a list of accomplished actors, especially the last two.

I realized I needed to make my list of best all-time supporting characters.....

These are the characters that are the "glue" of the shows and really made it.

Antonio Fargas as Huggy Bear on Starsky and Hutch. This has a unique one as Snoop Dogg's reprisal of the role in the 2004 full-length feature movie "Starsky and Hutch" was dead on and definitely the highlight of the movie.

Stuart Margolin as Evelyn "Angel" Martin on "Rockford Files". Trivia -- as part of the Jim Rockford's backstory, Angel and Rockford were cellmates when Rockford was wrongly convicted of a crime and sent to prison. He was pardoned.

Roger E. Mosely as Theodore "TC" Calvin on Magnum PI. Honorable mention goes to his buddy Larry Manetti as Orville "Rick" Wright.

Ben Jones as Cooter Davenport on "Dukes of Hazzard".

Grandpa Munster

The previously mentioned Richard Kline as Larry on "Three's Company"

Not making the list

Robbie Rist as Oliver on the last few episodes of "The Brady Bunch"
